Daisy Photo Sign by Ella

This sign was created completely by my 11 year old from beginning to end! She did such a wonderful job on this. I could not be any more proud of her!!! She is my little mini-me crafter. As always, I hope everyone is staying safe, Healthy and HAPPY!! ??

First she covered her lap desk with paper towels to keep it safe from getting paint on it. Then she gathered all of her supplies. She used a sign with a little thing that came out of the top that we found at Dollar General. She also used various paints, mod podge, a sanding block, a saw tooth hanger, and various other supplies like paint brushes, a heat gun (not necessary), and a hammer.

First, she painted the sign completely black all over (don’t forget the sides and back). Ella used two coats of paint, making sure to let each coat dry completely before moving on to the next step by using a heat gun. Then she sanded the paint making sure it was even all around. Not too hard, just enough to make it even. Next, she made random white dots around the canvas, making sure to leave enough space around them for the petals to come out of them. Then she dried those with the heat gun, and went back with pastel colors and went around the white dots and made petals on each one. After drying this layer with the heat gun, she applied a thin layer of Mod Podge to make sure it stayed safe. Then, she turned it around and applied a saw tooth hanger (making sure the “teeth” face down at the top of your picture) with a hammer. Then she was all finished! It really turned out super cute, and I think she is going to make more.
