Cat Paw Photo Sign by Ella

This sign goes with my 11 year old, Ella’s Daisy Photo Sign. She and I love how these are turning out. I want to get back to Dollar General ASAP to try to get about 3 more signs so hopefully she can make a little wall next to her bed with various ideas on them, with the same color theme. She is super excited about the idea. I hope everyone is safe, Healthy and HAPPY!! (By the way, we are planning on creating a page on my site for my Ella for kiddos to follow! It will be Ella’s Corner, and it will have all kid friendly crafts on it!)

First she covered her lap desk with paper towels to keep it safe from getting paint on it. Then she gathered all of her supplies. She used a sign with a little thing that came out of the top that we found at Dollar General. She also used various paints, Mod podge, a sanding block, a saw tooth hanger, and various other supplies like paint brushes, a heat gun (not necessary), and a hammer.

The first step was to paint the sign completely black. She painted it all over, on the back and all the sides. She used 2 coats, making sure to dry each coat between coats with the heat gun. Then she sanded it just a little bit to even out the black paint on it. Then she drew the paw print with a pencil. She painted that in with the white paint, and dried that with the heat gun. Then she used the pastel paints to fill in each paw pad. She made sure that was dry, then she painted the top with a thin layer of Mod podge to keep it all safe, and dried it again. She turned it around and nailed in the saw tooth hanger to be able to hang the sign on the wall. That was it! Super simple!!! ❤️ 🐾
