Home Sweet Home Sign

I purchased this table place mat for $1.00 at Dollar Tree.  As you can see, I didn’t want to use it as a place mat at all! I think it turned out quite cute as a sign! I made this craft many months ago, and just haven’t posted it yet.  I hope you all enjoy this craft! Stay safe, Healthy and HAPPY!

First I made sure my table on my bed was cleaned off, and I gathered all of my supplies. I used a plastic place mat that I purchased at Dollar Tree, some natural rope, twine, some wooden beads, my glue gun, scissors and scraps of ribbon to make my bow!  First I took something large and round, and I put it over the placemat where I wanted it to have lines to cut it out.  I traced around it, and cut it out.  Then I just took my rope and hot glued it around the perimeter.  After this, I took some twine, and I beaded some wooden beads on it, alternating in size.  I tied it off, and made a loop at the top, then attache it to the back of the placemat with hot glue.  I then just threw together a “messy bow” with some matching scraps of ribbon I had.  (Look up Messy Bow on YouTube, if you need directions on how to make one)  I attached my bow with more hot glue, and it was all finished!!
