Button Acorn

Okay, so I’m going to be completely transparent here.  I don’t know if I like this one.  It’s kind of growing on me. When I finished it I literally thought “Well, they can’t all be winners”. But I’m posting it anyway!  I hope you are all staying safe, Healthy and HAPPY!!

First I started by gathering my supplies, as I always do and starting with a clean work space.  I used a piece of paper from Hobby Lobby that looked like real leaves.  I got a little decoration from Dollar General that looked like a little acorn, and I gathered a bunch of buttons and my E6000 and some raffia.  First I took the top of the acorn off and I put a piece of paper that was close to the size of the bottom of the acorn on there and I took a sanding block, and just took off the excess paper around the edges.  It came off really easy.  Then I just glued the paper down.  I then put the top of the acorn back on and just started covering it with buttons!  Then I made a little bow with raffia after I was done with the buttons and used hot glue to keep that on there.  It really was a super simple craft!
