Heart Button Sign

My daughter and I made two of these signs in February. My mom loved it, so I had to make her one too. I didn’t do step by step instructions back then, so I did them now. I hope you all like this! Stay safe, Healthy and HAPPY!!!

First I covered my lap table with postage paper. Then I gathered all the supplies. I used an 8×10 picture frame that I bought at Dollar Tree for $1.00.  I also used E6000, a heart cut out that I printed out online. (I will put a pdf of what I used below) I used a ton of various red buttons, red chalk paint and an 8×10 THIN canvas that I bought at Dollar Tree for $1.00 for a pack of 3.  I printed out my heart and cut it out.  Then I traced it on my canvas making sure I left room on the edges to where when I put the canvas back in the frame, the buttons wouldn’t be covered by the frame.  Then I started putting the buttons on the canvas where the heart goes.  The cheap buttons should go on the bottom.  They are the ones that won’t be seen.  You will need all sizes of buttons, and you will want all different kinds and shapes.  After I finished the bottom, I covered the top of the heart with the prettier buttons to make it look nice.  I painted the frame with chalk paint, so the paint wouldn’t peel off.  I took a sanding block and distressed the frame to make it look a little more farm house style.  Then I put the canvas into the frame after the paint dried, and it’s all finished!
